This is my introductory post. In this blog I would like to write about little known / unknown places of India. My emphasis will be to bring the colour of the place with the background of people, their history, mythological or Puranic, if available.

I want to write to make you feel the places. I want to promote ecotourism. I am doing this becasue I believe, I am a stakeholder in promoting ecotourism. Over the decades I have watched helplessly as the beautiful places are converted to urban jungles for the promotion of tourism. It is very much essential that tourism need to be encouraged because a beautiful place needs to be enjoyed by each and everyone. There are economic considerations also involved. There are some places which do not have any other thing to offer except the natural beauty. The livelyhood of the inhabitants depends on tourism. Hence tourism needs to be promoted.

However we have the responsibility to maintain the beauty, the sanctity of the place for the benefit of the generations to enjoy. Hence it is very much needed to promote ecotourism.
